The History of The Web
An example of a web 1.0 site could be Amazon which is a shop site that allows you to buy any products. It runs a search through many products to find the one you are looking for and allows you to buy it. It does this by searching through a database based on your query and giving you results. Here you can place items in your shopping cart in order to purchase a set of items or you can just directly buy one product.
An example of a web 2.0 site could be Blogger which is an interface that allows you to post your thoughts and see other peoples posts. In this site all of the material is user generated and you can get feedback from your friends. In other words it is another form of social networking. You can also connect with other users and follow them to keep up to date and you can place flash programs on your page in order to add a fun element for your viewers.
Pandora can be considered a web 3.0 device because it uses and AI and can be used through multiple devices. It also runs a wide search through many music element databases in order to find the music that is similar to yours. This uses connected devices in order to give you the best results and uses cloud computing to keep all the memory of all the songs out of your device. This makes it convenient for users which allows them to take full advantage of the program as well as the memory limit on their devices.

Product Packaging Questions
Issac Montenegro
Eddie Crum
Blayr Stone
The product is packaged in a smooth plastic purple bag and the product itself is paper wipes. It measures about 6" by 7" and the lettering is about an inch big and it contains 20 wipes and it weighs a few ounces. The main colors on it are white and purple and it isn't transparent. It has one information section on the back that is made up all of text which resembles the Arial font but in bold. The packaging contains one image of a quadruple scoop chocolate ice cream which is relevant to the design because it can become a potential mess or otherwise dirty ones face and clothes.
Step 2
The audience for this product can basically be for anyone but it seems to be mainly directed towards moms and parents for cleaning up after their children's messes especially due to the image of the ice cream cone.
Step 3
At first glance this product drew my eyes to it with its bright and bold packaging but the main reason it attracted me was because its simple design in which right away you know what it is. As we said before what makes this product work for us is that it has a simple to understand design and stands out from a crowd of products. Another thing we liked about the packaging is its easy opening front which allows you to access the wipes quickly, easily, and it is re-sealable. What we disliked about the packaging ,however, is that the white square doesn't seem to fit since the rest of the design is rounded off and the picture on the front should be of the wipe cleaning a mess or something a bit more relevant to the buyer. The rest of the design has a good alignment but to us it seems a bit off balance because of the image being slightly off center. It also has good spacing between the text and a hierarchy because the more important text is in a bold and in purple while the lesser information is a non-bold black. It is simple to read and has a flow where it is simple to follow.
Step 4
In our redesign the main element we would change is the image of the ice cream cone to an image of a spill or a wipe in the process of cleaning in order to make it more relevant and show what the product can do. We would also change the white square to a rounded off white square in order to make it work better with the design. Besides that the design worked really well with us in flow, color scheme, and in hierarchy.

New Media
1. New Media is characterized by anytime access to content, whenever you need it, on phones, computers, and other devices with user feedback and participation by the users.
2. New Media and Traditional Media differ because new media digitizes its content into bits, as well as real time content production, as well as more dense and compressable. They are the same because they both are used to publish, distributing, and creating media content to the community
3. Some examples of New Media could be the Internet, websites, CDs, and computer games such as Minecraft. On the other hand Traditional Media can be seen as tv channels, magazines, feature films, and other paper publications.
4. The term new media is problematic because it will be new for now but will soon be outdated when other smaller and more compressable files are created for media useage.
5. Another name for New Media could be Digital Media.
